To all SC24 National Bodies:
=20
As liaison officer from SC24 to the VRML Consortium, I have written a =
liaison report which has been posted on the SC24 web site. Please read =
it and address any comments to me. It is important to be familiar with =
VMRL Consortium activities as two additional projects have been proposed =
for processing within SC24 and more are on the horizon. Your support for =
these projects is greatly appreciated. The quick and efficient manner in =
which ISO/IEC 14772-1 (VRML) was standardized has been a bright light in =
the international standards spectrum and has garnered much positive =
notice. We need to keep up the good work with the new similar projects =
which are either in process (PNG) or on the way (VRML EAI and VRML Amd. =
1). Support for these latter two is particularly critical in that the =
NPs come up for a vote later this summer.
=20
Sincerely,
=20
    Richard F. Puk
ISO/IEC JTC1/SC24 Liaison to VRML Consortium
