Subject: SC 24 Ad Hoc meeting on IT Strategy

It is proposed that an SC 24 Ad Hoc meeting be held in Kyoto on Monday 17th June
1996
(am) to discuss the on-going JTC 1 IT Strategy work and the inpact it is having
on SC 24.
 National Bodies and SC 24 experts are invited to provide input to this group,
either in
 person at the meeting, or via email in advance of the meeting to the SC 24
Secretariat.

A proposed draft agenda is below:

MEETING:	SC 24 Ad Hoc Group on IT Strategy
DATE:		Monday 17 June 1996
TIME:		AM (TBC)
VENUE:		Kyoto International Conference Hall

DRAFT AGENDA:

1	To review JTC 1 IT Strategy Papers - N 1517 - N 1519, N 1522, N 1523
	- To provide SC 24 response to JTC 1 Paper (N 1524)
	- To provide input to JTC 1 IT Strategy Ad hoc - London, September 1996

2	 To review SC 24 Progression towards electronic distribution
	- Use of diskettes
	- Use of FTP server
	- Identification of problems - Member input is requested !!!
	- Plans for future distribution

3	Standards and the Use of the WWW
	- Applications to put SC 24 Standards on the WWW (SC 24 N1440)

4	Any Other IT related Business
