We are being asked by JTC 1 to evaluate the success or failure of allowing
public access to WD and Cd texts. If you have any comments that you would
like for me to merge into the SC 24 response can I have them by 15 January.

>> Dear Members,
>>
>> This message is directed to JTC 1/SCs. The JTC 1 pilot project
>> authorized by ISO and IEC to allow for the public availability of
>> Working Drafts and Committee Drafts is approaching the end of its
>> initial trial period. We would like to get some feedback concerning
>> each SC's perceived success or failure of this pilot project. Please
>> take the time to address the following questions and respond to the
>> JTC 1 Secretariat by 31 January 1998. The responses are necessary so
>> that we can provide feedback to ISO and IEC about JTC 1's experiences
>> with this pilot project.
>>
>> 1. Has your SC gained enough experience with this project to provide
>> any information?
>>
>> 2. What are the benefits or disadvantages of making WDs and CDs freely
>> available?
>>
>> 3. Should the pilot deadline be extended to allow for more time to
>> gain information and experience?
