From: John L. Hill, Acting Chairman
Date: February 9, 2000
Subject:	JTC 1 Recognition Program

At its 1999 meeting, JTC1 approved resolution 18 on the JTC 1 Recognition
Program. [Refer to SC22 N3057.] There are at least two noteworthy aspects
of that resolution.
*	The Information Technology Task Force (ITTF) has a program in effect
to recognize the contributions of project editors. SC22 has several project
editors worthy of the recognition.
*	JTC 1 asked the SCs to provide ideas on additional means of
recognition.
Anyone involved in SC22 having relevant ideas should make them known by
submitting them to the Secretariat for discussion at our next plenary
meeting.
