                    DISPOSITION OF COMMENTS REPORT ON
                     APPROVAL BALLOT FOR FCD 1539-2

Comments were submitted by Germany, Japan and the UK, accompanying votes
of approval in each case.

The editorial changes proposed by Japan and the UK have been incorporated.

In response to the first German comment, the following paragraph has been
added to Annex A:

"This module uses a derived type with a pointer component. On a processor
without automatic garbage collection, it is possible that a program using
this module might prematurely run out of memory."

WG5 has noted the suggestions made in the second and third German
comments.

All three countries accepted these responses to their comments at a
meeting of WG5 held in Cadarache, France, June 14-18, 1999.
