A single product can never conform to ISO/IEC 11404 alone: ISO/IEC 11404 is used by other standards as a basis for their datatypes, so conformance of a product to ISO/IEC 11404 will always be indirect. In order to maximise the utilisation of ISO/IEC 11404, not only within ISO and IEC, but also in other standardization groups, SC22 requests that it be permitted that ISO/IEC 11404 is publicly available.
