The mirror body for ISO/IEC JTC1 is DIN "Normenausschuss Informationssysteme NI", for SC22 it is NI22. DIN NI22 meets twice per year in plenary, works extensively by Email and Internet. It has the following working groups and activities: (1) International activities Active International mirror groups, mostly with several participants and activities for the participation in the international standardization process (Name of chairpersons): - WG4 Cobol (Augustin, Reimann) - WG5 Fortran (Rotthaeuser) - WG9 Ada (Hermann) - WG13 Modula (Redtenbacher) - WG14 C (N.N.) - WG15 POSIX (Zimmer) - WG16 LISP (Daessler) - WG17 Prolog (Daessler) - WG20 Internationalization (N.N.,Kuester is nominated) - WG21 C++ (Hartinger) - WG22 PCTE (Kelter) - JSG (Daessler) (2) National activities - DIN Standard of PEARL as process control language (Thiele), will be translated into English due to international interest; - Maintenance of a German "Fachwoerterliste", Thesaurus of technical terms (Herty); - Comparison of the different object oriented concepts and their implementation in the different programming languages (NI22); - Presentation of NI22 in the Internet on the DIN-Server.
