The Norwegian ISO/IEC JTC1/SC22 effort is carried out by our national reference group K 180 Programming Languages. Chairman of K 180 is mr. Magnus Alvestad from Opera Software. About 10 experts are involved in the work of K 180. Norway is not active in any of SC22 Working Groups at the moment, but Norwegian experts are active in the JSG - Java Study Group. The experts in K 180 and the Norwegian National Body is especially interested in the following area of work: C programming language, C++ programming languages and Java programming languages. Norway did not attend the SC 22 plenary meeting in Ottawa on 1997-08-18/21, but intend to participate at the plenary meeting in Copenhagen, 1998-08-24/28. We respond to all ballots issued from SC 22.
