The final agenda is in Attachment 2. =20 The ad hoc group reviewed all of the National Body (NB) and Subcommittee = =20 (SC) contributions on topics including the JTC 1 policy on electronic document distribution, policy elements and tips and techniques for JTC 1 web pages. The group also reviewed the NB and SC Responses to the = =20 survey concerning plans for server-based document distribution.=20 =20 Regarding the use of SGML, Makoto Ikeda (ISO/CS) reported that in order = =20 to pursue the offer from the previous meeting, regarding SGML tools, specific DTD s would need to be available prior to accepting the offer=20 from the previous meeting. =20 The IT Ad Hoc utilized electronic meeting capabilities including LAN =20 access, diskette sharing, document projection and real time editing although not all members participated in all activities. The IT Ad Hoc hopes to improve the use of these facilities at future meetings. =20 The following recommendations were approved by the Ad Hoc group: =20 Recommendation 1: =20 The JTC 1 Secretariat is requested to appropriately include the =20 following reminder on virus protection in document distribution: It is the responsibility of all parties to ensure that the environment is protected against viruses transmitted via documents.
