National Activity Report from the Netherlands to the SC22 Plenary, =
September
25-28, 2007

The Dutch Programming Language Committee has currently 10 members and =
meets
1-2 times per year to discuss SC22 issues and, when necessary, relevant =
JTC1
documents.

There is active participation from the Netherlands in the SC22 WG's on
COBOL, Fortran, Bindings, C and C++.

The Netherlands has no points for discussion at the SC22 Plenary.

With respect to SC22 N4205, it is the opinion of the Netherlands that
- TR 14652 is flawed beyond repair, and all work on this document in
SC22 should completely be stopped and abandoned;
- 	hence: the 14652 project should formally be canceled by SC22;
- if SC35 wants to build on the remains of 14652 then SC35 should
produce an NP to do so and gather sufficient participation to start the
work;
- the Netherlands opposes the transfer of an 'active' (i.e., non
canceled) 14652 project to SC35.
