Therefore, JTC 1 instructs its Secretariat to issue a call for candidates to serve as Vocabulary Rapporteur. In the absence of an individual to fill this role, the JTC 1 Chairman and Secretariat will recommend to JTC 1 an alternative course of action. JTC 1/SC 1 (Vocabulary) was disbanded in 1999.
