Our national reference group K 180 Programming Languages carries out the Norwegian ISO/IEC JTC1/SC22 effort. Chairman of K 180 is Mr. Magnus Alvestad from Business Data Consult AS. About 10 experts are involved in the work of K 180. Norway is active in the following SC22 Working Groups: SC22/WG11 SC22/WG14 C SC22/WG15 POSIX SC22/WG20 i18n SC22/WG21 C++ JSG - Java Study Group. The experts in K 180 and the Norwegian National Body are especially interested in the following area of work: C programming language, C++ programming languages, Java programming languages, POSIX and Internationalization. Norway participated at the plenary meeting in Berlin on 1999-09-20/24 and will be attending the next plenary meeting of SC 22, which will be held in Nara, Japan, 2000-09-12/15.
