Fall 2008 meeting

Location

The fall 2008 meeting of WG21 will be hosted by Google and will take place from Sunday September 14 through Saturday September 20. The meeting will be located at the Hotel Kabuki in San Francisco, CA.

The hotel's Web site is http://www.jdvhotels.com/kabuki/, and our room rate is $149 per night.

To make a reservation you should use the dedicated Web page: https://reservations.ihotelier.com/crs/g_reservation.cfm?groupID=104158&hotelID=13098

Transportation

The nearest airport is San Francisco International Airport (SFO), about 15 miles to the south. You can get to the hotel from the airport by airport shuttle (including Airport Express, Bayporter, and SuperShuttle), or public transportation.

To get to the hotel by public transportation if you're feeling energetic: take BART from the airport to Civic Center, and then walk to the hotel. (It's about a mile.)  If you're feeling less energetic you can instead take BART to Powell Street and then take the 38 Muni from Union Square.

If you're coming from Silicon Valley by public transportation, your best option is probably to take Caltrain and then change to the 47.

Nearby

The Kabuki is located right across the street from San Francisco Japantown. It's also easy walking distance from San Francisco Civic Center, with the Symphony, the Opera, and many restaurants.
